About Susan

Susan graduated in 1987 from Kutztown University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She became certified as an Addictions Counselor (CADC) in 1995 by the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCACB). Susan has worked since 1989 in substance abuse rehabilitation. In June of 2006 she received her certification as a Life & Career Coach by the Life Purpose Institute in California. In October of 2007 she received a certification for Competency in Treatment of Gambling by the PCACB. Susan attends seminars, conferences and workshops on an ongoing basis to stay current with developments in the behavioral health, coaching and counseling fields.

Susan has been in private practice for 17 years and focuses on relationship patterns, codependency, self-esteem, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, goal-setting and substance abuse/dependence. She is dedicated to providing the best care for her clients so that they can achieve personal satisfaction and live a balanced and fulfilling life.

Susan has successfully ran Women’s Empowerment Groups for women of all ages and Self-Esteem groups for Adolescents. She works with men, women and adolescents (male and female). Focus of her counseling practice is individual, group and couples therapy. Her coaching practice includes individual sessions (face to face contact) and phone sessions.
